Phil Cannella, creator of the Crash Proof Retirement System, and Joann Small, co-host of The Crash Proof Retirement Show, make another sizable donation to bring their five-year total to $275,000.
KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa., Dec. 23—Once again, Phil Cannella and Joann Small have followed through on their promise of Crash Proofing children’s futures at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).
Cannella, creator of The Crash Proof Retirement Show, and his co-host Small presented a $50,000 check at their annual holiday party this past Saturday at The William Penn Inn in Ambler, Pa. Lisa Rabbitt, Assistant Director of Children’s Miracle Network at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and Jim Loftus, Executive Vice President of CBS Radio Philadelphia were on hand to accept the generous gift.
Crash Proof Retirement stands alone as the largest single donor in the 13-year history of the WOGL Loves Our Kids Radiothon. Cannella and Small’s latest contribution pushes their five-year donation total to $275,000.
“You can make a living from what you get, but you can save a life from what you give,” said Cannella. “Crash-proofing a child’s future nurtures the seeds of this country’s future. These kids have had a lot of rainy days in their short time on earth. By giving, and by caring, we bring a rainbow of hope.”
Cannella and Small have been a prominent presence in the CHOP community since the inception of The Crash Proof Retirement Show in 2008. One year, they loaded up a car with toys, purchased by themselves and the staff of Crash Proof Retirement, and delivered them personally to CHOP to be distributed to patients. This year’s donation will brighten up the holiday season for some very deserving kids.
“Joy comes in many forms,” said Joann Small. “But I’ve experienced the purest joy by giving hope to children to make their lives better. I’d like to think our donation not only helps these kids, but gives them the courage to stay strong and fight.”
The Crash Proof Retirement Show broadcasts live each weekend on Talk Radio 1210-WPHT, Philadelphia’s number-one talk radio station. Creator Phil Cannella and co-host Joann Small host the program on Saturdays (11am-1pm) and select Sundays (1pm-2pm). Cannella and Small are retirement phase experts and consumer advocates dedicated to educating today’s retiring generation through truth and logic on safe, alternative investments that are not susceptible to market risk or ongoing market fees.
