Traci Stillman
Traci Stillman, CEO of Crash Proof Retirement®, brings a lifetime of insurance expertise and consumer advocacy to her role. As the daughter of Joann Small-Cannella, Traci was immersed in the insurance world from an early age, working at her family’s property and casualty business as a teenager. This early experience gave her a strong foundation in how the insurance industry uniquely prioritizes protecting clients.
In the early 2000s, Traci moved into the mortgage industry and quickly became a top producer. As the housing bubble built toward the 2007–2008 crisis, she became disillusioned with how the industry preyed on hardworking, middle-class Americans. Determined to leave that world behind, she accepted an opportunity from Crash Proof Retirement® founder Phil Cannella and CEO Joann Small-Cannella. Traci was immediately impressed with their mission to advocate for those in-or-near retirement and protect them from Wall Street’s risks through the Exclusive Crash Proof Retirement® System.
She started as a Processing Assistant and quickly identified, developed, and executed plans to make the department more efficient, which quickly led her to become Processing Manager. She wasted little time applying the same approach to the scheduling department, enhancing operations and the client experience. Over time, she worked across all areas of the company, gaining a rare, comprehensive understanding of how every department works together, and how to optimize each one for peak performance.
Recognizing her passion for consumer advocacy and drive for self-improvement, Phil and Joann personally trained Traci to carry forward the mission of bringing truth, transparency, and clarity to the American retiree — both as the presenter at Crash Proof Retirement®’s educational events and as co-host of The Crash Proof Retirement® Show. Today, as CEO, Traci is intricately involved in the company’s day-to-day operations, ensuring that every department works together seamlessly to deliver the highest standard of service. She is committed to helping team members grow and develop, fostering a family atmosphere that both staff and clients continue to express gratitude for being a part of. She is dedicated to honoring Phil’s vision by expanding Crash Proof Retirement’s® reach, continuing to innovate our educational events, and protecting as many retirees as possible to give them the ability to grow their savings safely and retire with true peace of mind.
