Empowering Women: “My Advice to Any Woman”

Each week on The Crash Proof Retirement Radio Show, Joann Small hosts a special Empowering Women Segment, in which she educates all listeners on the unique challenges women face when planning for retirement and the proven solutions available to them.

In this clip, Crash Proof Consumer Liz Wolfram shares why it’s so important for women to become educated on their financial future, and have consumer advocates looking out for them as well.

Joann Small said,

“Information means nothing if you don’t put it to good use. Knowledge is power, but putting it to use is powerful. We can give you a plan, we can give you a map. But ladies, it’s up to you to execute it. And if you’re unable and you’re unsure, we are here to help you.

I’d like you to hear from Liz Wolfram who got educated and listen to what she has to say about her education.”

Liz Wolfram said,

“Finances affect women, women who have never been involved in it. I just kind of jumped in about a year and a half ago, and it’s difficult, and it’s frightening, and you can’t do it on your own. You have to find somebody responsible, somebody honest, and somebody who knows how to protect you.

And my advice to any woman is number one, get involved while your husband is still alive. Get involved in your finances, they’re your finances too. And you have to know that everything that you do protects you when either one of you passes away. And number two, if something has happened to your husband, go find Phil and Joann and have them help protect you. Because of all the people we’ve talked to, you’re the only ones that I trust.”
